Gifts with Santa were of course fun, but seeing my kids learn about the true meaning of Christmas is priceless!!

Here are the kiddos gathered around the front of our church, listening to the Christmas Story!!

Oh man, I was SOOOOO proud of my Caleb!! That's my cousin Trey talking to the kids and when he asked them questions about the birth of Christ, Caleb knew them all!!!

It just doesn't get better than that people!!

Miss Chloe loved hearing the story too!!

After the kids heard the story, they headed back to their classes!

At 5:30 we headed to Pappy and Granny's House for Christmas!!! (Daniel's parents)

We always have my favorite little finger foods! Chips and Queso, pigs in a blanket with ranch, & crackers-sausage-and cheese!!

Time to open presents!!!

She is really into scrap booking so we made her this "digital" scrapbook full of memories from 2011!!

While out helping Tasha register for her Baby Shower the other day, we ran across this frame!

WOW!!

I LOVE this PRAYER!!

We clicked on it for her registry, since she is having a baby boy, but I told her to click 2 and give me one so I could hang it in Caleb's room too!! :) Ok, so she didn't but I had to try! haha!

Seriously though, it makes you think, huh! So sweet! Oh and ladies, you could even make it a Daughter/Mother's Prayer:

Blessed With A Wilborn Family Christmas Tradition

Since I was a little girl, I can remember Christmas Eve at my Grandparents house,with my entire family.(From my Mom's side)

Parents, Sister, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, cousins---and that family continues to grow! :)

I always look forward to the get-together and wish we all met more!!

This year was no different!!
Even though we really MISSED a few cousins that couldn't make it because they were out of the country, or just too far away.
(Michael, Brittany and Kevin.)

It's sooooo cool to see our family expand.

We started with our annual Christmas Eve Dinner, it's mainly snack food and lots of sweets! Queso and chips, BBQ weenies, tortilla soup, croissant sandwiches, the list goes on and on!! ha!!

Then it was time for the Chinese Christmas game.
Ha! That game is NEVER boring! :)

It seems every year there is always a new "story" or memory made! ha!

We used to all buy each other gifts but that adds up quick so the adults just bring one $20-25 gift.

But the kids, well they are still SPOILED by everyone! ha! Here's Caleb and Chloe opening gifts from Grandad & Grandma, Aunt KiKi, and Uncle Tommy & Aunt Cyndie!!!

Grandad & Grandma also still SPOIL us "original" and "married in" grandkids too!!
It's always the PERFECT COLOR AND SIZE! :)
Yep, $$$ ha!!
Caleb used to always says that's my Grandad and Grandma! :) I always agreed but childishly added "but they were mine first, buddy" :) ha!!

This year Tasha and I got an extra, but annual gift from my Mom & Dad. Our matching CHRISTMAS PJ's!! :) Pics to come!

But what used to be the part I wanted to rush through as a kid to get to the PRESENTS, hey being honest here :), is now my FAVORITE!!!

When we read the CHRISTMAS STORY!!
I can remember as a little girl my Grandad reading the story year after year. I'm sooooo thankful that he does that too!!! It's a tradition that I never want to end, and a memory that I cherish!!
So THANK YOU Grandad!!

Over the years we have continued to read the story, but my Grandad has started picking others to help year after year. (including my Dad & even Papa in the past! :)

And this year...Caleb got to read part of it! It made my heart melt! So sweet!!! (You can see my Grandad beside Caleb.)

The #1 thing I want for my kids is for them to always love the LORD with all their heart!!
And to see that in Caleb and Chloe right now, makes me one Thankful and Blessed Momma! :)

A Bishop Christmas w/ My Hubby's Extended Family

Christmas Eve Night started with celebrations with Daniel's family. They are of course MY family now too, but it's so hard to describe the next get-together and who's who on a blog!! ha! :)

Here I am with my PRECIOUS kiddos!! :) Chloe and I had an outfit change from earlier in the day! ha!

Daniel thought that was hilarious!!

I went with the title Bishop Christmas because Daniel's mom has 3 sweet sisters.

They all have different last names, married names, and so I went with their maiden name, since it really is the sisters and their kids, grand-kids, in-laws, etc...

This year it was held at my Mother and Father in law's house!! :)

Chloe was just not sure about everything when we first got there, but we did have to wake her up to go, so I think she was tired and just SUPER SHY! But it was PRECIOUS when she went up to Mandy and wanted her to pick her up! :) No smile but how sweet is this picture!

There was of course lots of food and yummy snacks! That's what this picture is of!! One of the recipes, that Mandy made, is from PINTEREST! It was good too!!

Then it was time for the kiddos to open PRESENTS!!

The kids are all 2nd cousins but they are also around the same age groups which I love!!!

A Tippit Family Christmas Eve!!

We celebrated Christmas with my Dad & Mom on Christmas Eve, just before Noon, at their house!!

It was soooo much fun!! We had a big lunch including Chicken Spaghetti, Rolls, Corn on the cob , and yummy desserts!

Here's who was there: Dad, Mom, Grannie, Tasha & Stephen, Caleb & Chloe, & me and Daniel! :)

After lunch it was time to pass out presents!!! Check out all those gifts!!

Yes, we were spoiled just a bit! :)

Chloe was having a good time riding Nina's Christmas Tree rocking horse, while Caleb passed out the gifts!!

It's super cute to watch Chloe when she sees it, or any other puppy!! She makes a panting noise and sticks out her tongue! ha!!

Tasha and I both got BIG giant bags of M&M's for our Brookstone Candy dispensers.
But watching Mrs. Prego open her candy was priceless! haha!! I know sweet Baby Ross will enjoy him some yummy chocolate!

Not only did we get some AWESOME gifts but also STOCKINGS!!

They always have the best stuff inside!!!

Thanks Dad & Mom for EVERYTHING!!! I'm truly BLESSED beyond words!!

Nope not mine people!! ha!! Baby Ross!! I'm going to call him that forever if his Mommy doesn't pick a name soon! ha!!

It was so great having our sweet Grannie back in town for Christmas too!!!

Oh and just to show you how blessed, loved, spoiled rotten we were---WOW!! This is the AFTERMATH!!

During the clean up Chloe's pink "shoe bow" got thrown away! Yes we love our bows, so Sweet Nina and Daddy went digging through the TRASH! Good news is, it was all tissue and wrapping paper! ha!!
And she FOUND IT!!!!! YAY!!! Nina SAVES Christmas Eve!! ha ha ha!!!

Ladies of "CC" Progressive Dinner

I had the BEST time at our church Ladies Progressive Dinner !!

It's where you go house to house to house for different parts of your meal! Appetizer, Main Course and Desserts!!!

New this year, we rode in a trolley all night !! Which is ALWAYS fun to do!!

Here's some pictures of us on the Trolley, headed to our first destination!

First stop, Ms. Diana's house!! We had so many great snacks/appetizers there!!
After we ate, and before we loaded up I told everyone I wanted to take a group picture (with the timer on my camera!) Here is the "test" set up picture with a hole for me! ha!! See Santa's head!!

Yay!!!! I made it!!!

Ok the story behind this next picture is hilarious!!! ha!! But the bottom line is Ms. Diana's kitty likes to be right by you when your eating. So here he is "posing" with Grandma!! ha!!!

Here we are thanking Ms. Diana for all she does! Especially when it comes the Women's Ministry!!

The church also gave a special treat/BLING to my mom!! AKA Pastor's wife.

Then it was time to load the trolley again!! Where my Mom and Tasha lead us in some Christmas carols!!! :)

The next stop was Tasha's house for the main meal!!!

Driving Through Home Depot in the MIRACLE cart!

Christmas shopping landed us at Home Depot last month, where I found a shopping cart that turns my children into the happiest kids on the planet!! ha!!

This the double seater car buggy!!! Similar to the one at United/Market Street, but a TWO SEATER!!

They could stay in that thing ALL day!!! Especially if we pass other kids in the store who are also in "car buggies"!
That's because according to Caleb it's a RACE! Oh and we always win! haha!! Sorry! :)

These two love to put one of Chloe's snack containers between them, and have the BEST time! The kids and I had to go back one day without Daddy, to get him a surprise tool box for Christmas, and I had already pushed the limit by taking them ALL OVER TOWN!
But they were sooooo good in the buggy!!
So note to self: We will be back even if it's just to ride around! ha!!!

Happy Birthday Pappy!!

Christmas week was not only full of numerous Christmas parties and visits from Santa! But it was also my Father in law's Birthday!!

So I had to include some cute pictures of our lunch celebration with the family!!

We ate at Los Tres Amigos, and it was Yummy!! Then we had some tasty Birthday Cupcakes!!

I'm so glad I took these before, but at the same time a little sad I didn't take a second picture of the kids AFTER the cupcakes! :)

They had some red and green mouths from the delicious icing! ha ha!

Very festive I must say!!!!

Pappy (Tom's) Birthday is just 2 days before Christmas! :) What a great Christmas gift for his parents huh!

I thought Miss Chloe might be born near Christmas with her original Dec 14th due date, but she ended up being our little Turkey baby! :) I'm thankful for both my little "gifts", and for a sweet F-I-L!

Caleb & Chloe Get A Surprise Visit From Santa!!

It was 4 days till' Christmas and all through the house, the children were playing, oh how I wish it was quite like a mouse!! ha!

When what to our wondering EARS should we HEAR?

Santa Clause at our door, laughing under his big white beard!

Chloe was super excited when she saw Santa!!

And has caught on that the man in RED, brings presents!!

But after Chloe got her stocking she went to the other couch, away from Santa, to look through it! ha!

While Caleb enjoyed his next to Santa! He even took time to go through his wish list one more time!! Yep that's my son!! ha!
I LOVE this picture of him and Santa!!

Caleb even took time to name some stuff that Chloe would love from Santa! What a sweet big brother!!
But then all of the sudden after looking through her stocking, Chloe stops and RUNS over to Santa and sits on his lap!!!!

Daniel and I about fell over!! It was the cutest thing ever!! ha!
She did Ok for a few minutes but then I think she wanted to enjoy Santa from afar again! ha!
Santa didn't stay long, but it was great seeing him!!

Funny thing though, Caleb thought Santa sounded a lot like his Pappy this year. ;)

After the visit Miss Chloe put on her new Christmas P.J's from Nina and Papa, and posed in front of the tree, before heading off to bed!! :)

2nd Annual Ornament Swap!

O.K., so I don't know how people manage to blog in December!! ha! I'm so jealous of those that found the time!

I had too many wonderful things to share to just move on though, so I am taking you back a month for the next week or so, for some Christmas fun!!

We started this party last year, and hope to make this a fun family get together for YEARS to come!!

We asked everyone to bring a finger food to share and snack on! So we had tons of food and yummy treats! I LOVED it all!!

This isn't even all of it! ha! We had BBQ Weenies and Queso Dip and Chips in the kitchen!

I had Kookie Kahoot make these delicious sugar cookies for us!

How cute are they!!

Plus they tasted just as good!!!

She does such a good job and her prices are the best I have found!!

Tasha's precious cupcakes!! Umm..... can you say SUPER CUTE and TASTY!!!

She's a natural!

So after we filled up our plates it was time to eat!!

We even grew by 3 more this year!
We had 10 ladies!! All family!
It doesn't get better than this!

The party was the Thursday before Christmas, so there were some who weren't in town yet, but they were missed. We hope to keep growing!

After we ate it was time for our Ornament Exchange!! Every lady also brings a wrapped ornament and is guaranteed to leave with one too! (It's played like the Chinese Christmas Exchange game.)

I'm sad to say I didn't get any pictures of the actual game though!! What was I thinking?!?!
Oh yeah, I was into the game because don't let these pretty ladies fool you!
They are competitive even at Christmas parties! haha!!
Then it was time to play the annual "Left/Right Game!

We read a cute little story, you can see Tasha in the back, and anytime we say right or left you have to pass the gift! As you can see it takes lots of concentration!! ha!!

Aunt Debbie was one of our winners this year!!!

It was truly a great night full of FUN, FOOD and FAMILY!!

The Kiddos At Church Get A Surprise Visit From Santa!!

We had our church Christmas Party this past week and Santa made a Special Surprise Visit and brought some fun treats for the kiddos! :)

Caleb got a cool toy and Miss Chloe got this sweet baby from Santa that blows kisses!!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

We recently made our annual trip to visit Santa Claus!!! It's something I have been doing since Caleb was a baby!! Actually since I was a kid!!

I have the cutest pictures that I put up every year!! My entire living room is full of 'Santa and Kids' pics! I love it!!

I thought I would show off a few of the past pictures with Old Saint Nick, starting with Chloe's first visit with her big brother! :) I will have to scan the others and post! Such great memories!

Chloe was FROZEN STIFF!! ha!! She was not sure what to make of Santa!

She is starting to point at him and get excited when she sees him on TV or in a book, but she's still not quite a fan up close! ha! But overall I am proud! She did great!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving 2011

I am so behind in the Blog World but determined to catch up! ha! So much to share!!
Starting with THANKSGIVING!!

We celebrated the Day of Thanks at my Grandparents house.

But before lunch I watched the 85th Annual Thanksgiving Macy's Day Parade with my kids and hubby at home!! :)

Eating Good In The Neighborhood!

Saturday was a full, but Fun day! It started with Praise & Worship practice at church that morning. Then that afternoon I headed to SAFB Hagar Holiday at the MPEC with my Mom and Aunt Debbie!

Sadly I didn't take any pictures!! Boo!! Guess I was so busy checking everything out! ha!

That night Daniel's parents, my sweet FIL & MIL asked us out to eat!!

Daniel and I LOVE to go out and eat, so we were really looking forward to the dinner and catching up!! :)

We kept telling him lets go inside and talk to them!! :)

It was a great dinner! Wonderful time with family and a yummy meal!! :)

Family Fun Night

Friday Night was Family Fun Night at Caleb's school!!!

So we all loaded up and headed out!! For our 3rd FFN!!

Heading Inside!!

The Family Fun night is a fundraiser for the school put on by the PTA. Since I am a room mom this year we helped set up a game. Big brother Caleb helped me this year!! Thanks to Daddy for helping me the past 2 years! :)
You buy tickets when you walk in and then head from class to class for games and prizes.
Here's a ball toss game!! Look at them go!!

Then it was time to go fishing for candy and toys!

Chloe wasn't so sure at first, but thought it was cool when she saw you got a PRIZE!!! ha!! That's my girl!

Here's the game we set up!!! Oh F.Y.I. that board is HEAVY!!! Thanks to one of the other SWEET mommy's for helping me carry it!!
It maybe heavy but it's also a HIT game!! :)

Chloe LOVED the duck game!!! They had candy and little ducks for the prize, so naturally whenever the lady handed Chloe a duck, she THREW it in the water!! ha!!
Smart girl if you ask me, I mean all the other ducks are in there!! :) ha!!

Caleb was soooooo sweet helping her!! He was like she can have my ticket. He didn't even play just waited in line to let her!! Precious!

A little later though my sweet angel had a sleepy meltdown to put it nicely! ha! So wonderful Daniel took her to the car while Caleb and I hit up the last of the games!!

He was on a role too!!! Winning all kinds of treats!! He was even picking out stuff Chloe could have!

Caleb and Mrs. Robinson!!! His teacher from last year!! :) (1st grade)

He really has been blessed with wonderful teachers!! All 3 of them so far have been AWESOME!!

At the end Caleb got some popcorn, and stopped by to see the clown that makes animal balloons!!!

School Family Thanksgiving Dinner w/Caleb

Caleb's school recently had it's Annual Family Thanksgiving Lunch! :)

So we all headed up there to eat with Caleb!!! Only this year we brought Subway!
Hey, at least it was turkey sandwiches!! Ha!!

After lunch we headed back down to Caleb's class to wait for his teacher and the other students!

Chloe had the best time! I know she's already excited about her first day!! Not so sure about Mommy though! ha! :)

Caleb's Parent/Teacher Conference

We recently had our annual Parent/Teacher conference with Caleb's teacher, and she gave us such a good report!!! GO Caleb!! :)
She said he is doing so good, even above average in some areas, including math!!
She also talked about how sweet and fun his personality is! He is our little Mr.Outgoing!
One thing she said that I want to always remember is that "It's like he is always running for Mayor!" :) ha! So Caleb!
She honestly had NOTHING bad to say which is such a blessing! :)

As we were leaving we saw his class in the library!

It was "Hats off To Drugs Day" at school so he was in his Dallas Cowboys hat! :) He looks so serious here! Must of been a good book! :)

Miss Chloe went along for the meeting too!! :) Here she is in Daddy's "VISITOR" badge! ha!

Won't be too long before we will be going to HER Teacher/Parent Conferences! Whoa!! But I am NOT rushing it!! :) My kids are growing up too fast!!

Can you believe Chloe will be 2 years old in less than 2 weeks!!!

One way you can put a smile on this little girl's face, is to let her play Itsy Bitsy Spider on the iPhone!! She LOVES it!!!

It's an interactive game that you have to touch and poke things to make the spider move. It's super cute and educational!

The spider is even named Chloe!! ha!! Maybe that's why she likes it so much!! :)

But this Pretty Girl also LOVES music!! So when Elmo started singing even Itsy Bitsy was put on hold! :)

Halloween At School!! Costume Fun!!

Caleb had a chance to show off his costume at school!! It was dress up day and my little 2nd grader looked so cute!! I mean handsome!!

A First Time Pony & Horse Ride:Roundup Sunday 2

After Miss Chloe jumped and jumped, we decided to check out the Ponies!!! But as you can see Chloe wasn't about to get on! :) Oh she pet the pony but didn't want to ride! :)

Thanks Grannie (aka my MIL) for taking that pic! :)
She also tried to help me get Chloe to ride. :)
So instead we moved on to other stuff, yes more jumping! :)

Jumping with friends!! Amaya,Grace & Chloe! Precious picture, even with Amaya's eyes closed and Chloe's hair all in her face! ha! I wish it was a little better but let me tell you getting three little ones to sit and look at you in a bouncy house is ridiculous hard! ha!

Chloe LOVED bouncing and falling up against the wall, but it was making me a NERVOUS wreck!!Here's one with Caleb and some other boys playing "Balloon swords" in another bouncy house! From there we headed back to the ponies to watch Caleb!

After seeing Caleb, we tried one more time to get Chloe on! And with lots of encouragement Nina got her on!! And Chloe LOVED it!!Chloe did NOT want to get off! ha!
So Nina asked if she could try Chloe on the "Big Ride" The Horses!!! Chloe had the BEST time!!Caleb LOVED the horses too!!!
Train Ride!!! And Giant Slides!! Jordan & Caleb having a blast!
Even us Mommies had Fun! ha! Me & Cindy with Little Chloe & Grace! Before it was time to leave Daddy gave Chloe one more snack!!
But not even a sugar filled chocolate chip cookie could keep this girl up! She was wore-out and wasted no time falling asleep on the way home!! :)Now that's what I call a GREAT Day! Thank you Jesus!!Blessings & Love, Ashley

My Little Actor & Roundup Sunday!!

Roundup Sunday at my church was such a FUN day!! We had nearly 200 people!!
It's a day to "Round" everyone up and bring 'em back to church! ;)

But before we get to the outdoor fun, I have to start indoors with the service.
We had lots of specials that morning including a Drama Video that Caleb was in! He did Sooooooo good!!! Look at that face!! Such an actor!! He held it forever too!! He then switched to another shot, and NEVER broke character!! I was impressed!! He even told me after that his nose was itching,but he didn't scratch it! Way to go Buddy!

Here is how it wrapped up with the other stories and Jesus. It was to the song What Love Really Means by JJ Heller.

They all did an AWESOME job!!!
After a great service it was time to head outdoors for some FUN!!!There was sooooo much to do!!! They had a BIG tent with tables and chairs so everyone could eat! :)A live band!!

Lots of Food!!! Burgers, hot dogs, sausage!!

And LOTS of TREATS including a Cotton Candy machine!!!

Face painting Too!!

There was also a Dunking Booth!! You know the kids LOVED this!!

Plus a train ride!!
And LOTS of bouncy houses and GIANT Bouncy slides!! I think Chloe was at first a bit overwhelmed, bless her heart she was not having it. BUT that quickly changed! Especially in the BOUNCY HOUSE!! She was having a BLAST!!!

Daniel videoed the BIG Day!!So after the bouncy house we moved on to ponies and HORSES!!! So much more to come!!! :)

Baby Blocks With Bubba

BLOCKS! Oh how my baby loves her blocks!! She could stack forever!! So patient and easy!! It's like your playing Jenga when you stack with her!
Only when it' really high she LOVES to knock them down, laugh and laugh and laugh, and then start all over again!! :)
And so does her Bubba! Especially the knocking down part!!! ha!! Caleb was being so silly this day, I think even Chloe was noticing! ha! (and probably getting ready to COPY him) She loves her blocks and BUBBA!!

Saturday we celebrated my BIL (Brother-in -law) Stephen's 31st Birthday !! :)
The morning started at the soccer field for Caleb's game!! He played so good!

My Hubby The "Preacher Man"

I am soooo proud of my hubby!! Here we are at this months "ladies meeting" at church! That's right I said LADIES meeting!! Daniel was the "special/surprise" guest speaker!!! Here he is with Diana, our Ladies Meeting leader. He does the Men's meeting, and this month they flip flopped! She is going to teach the men this month!! :)
Daniel did SUCH A GREAT JOB!! He said God has been talking to him awhile about doing this, and so he finally said "OK God!" :)
Daniel talked about Men being Warriors for Christ, and how us women really need to support and PRAY for our men!!
Like I said it was sooooo good!! I know God is using him more and more!! I am so blessed and thankful that God has blessed me with a husband that is not only a Christian, but one that is willing to be USED by God through multiple forms of ministry! I come from such a strong Christian background, that I am BEYOND Blessed to have. So, I always prayed that I would provide the same to my kids. By how both me and my husband live for the Lord. Thank you Daniel for being a Warrior for Christ and for following His direction, even when it's not easy or comfortable. I know He will BLESS you for obeying Him!

And Lord help me to become that "Princess" Warrior we talked about, and how to support the men in my family as I should!

Playing In The RAIN!!!

So last Saturday was "BEAT the RAIN Day"!! ha! We all headed out to the Soccer Complex for Caleb's 11:30 game, but we were also watching the much needed, but NEVER ending band of rain, inch closer to us on the radar!! :) Just check out the clouds in all these pics!! :) But I have to say up until the 4th quarter we were good, and dry!! :)
Here's a look at all of Caleb's fans that braved the storms! ha!
FYI: Caleb has on a red #3 jersey on over his shirt because both teams had white uniforms. :)

Here's Caleb and his buddy Jonathan. Johnathan is in Caleb's class at school, but he is also on the other team!!! :)
All of the sudden right before the 4th quarter, that Caleb was playing in, the temperature DROPPED like 20 degrees!!
It was CRAZY!! We knew it was about to POUR!!!

So we hugged Caleb and me and Chloe, in her BIG stroller BOOKED it across the soccer complex to the car!!! Man I was practically running like a crazy woman! ha! I did NOT want to have a soaked baby and trample through the mud!
And not less than a minute later, after we were in the car, this!!! A DOWN POUR!!! :) Whew!! Thank You Jesus!
Chloe was thanking Jesus too, and Momma for keeping her dry!!! :)
But these boys continued on!! Rain and all!! And you KNOW they had a BLAST!! Playing in the RAIN and MUD with your parents permission!!! :)
And I was ready to capture the moment, when the game ended!! :) Thank you Daddy for getting soaked and Muddy!!! Such a good sport!! :)

Ok so I was looking through my i phone and realized that I have soooo many cute pictures to share!! So it's a bit of a "random" post, but all sweet memories!!

Here's the picture Daniel sent me of Chloe having the best time EVER in the back of Uncle Stephen's truck!! ha! I was thinking how sweet she looks AND ALSO that they better not let my baby fall out!! :) Here's another one of Chloe! She was FINALLY napping one evening while we were out of town! I sent this picture to Daniel in the other room, because I was sooooo excited she finally fell asleep! If you have or have ever had a little one, then I know you can relate!! :)
This is the NEW Dr. Pepper 10!! It only has 10 calories for every 8 ounces. So this bottle was 20 total!! A sweet girl at work told me about it and brought me one and I LOVE it!!
Speaking of work we have had somewhat of a snake problem lately! ACK!!!! They found this little creepy slithery guy by the front door! I'm told it's a diamond back rattle snake! Yuck! Oh p.s. I did not take this picture!! They went out and took it and sent it to me!!
I love that Chloe's hair is GROWING! We are doing so many different hair styles and bows!!!! Here she is with the "flipped out" hair-do!! :) Cutie Pie!
And this is the picture I took of her outfits for the 3 1/2 days we were out of town. Daniel was making fun of me. But hey, she wore AT LEAST 2 of the 9 outifts nearly every day! :) I can't help it, I ALWAYS over pack! When it comes to kids, I would rather have more than enough then be without. :)We also recently went to sweet Savannah's 3rd Birthday Party! Her momma can throw a party! Sadly Miss Chloe wasn't feeling very good that day, so she stayed with Daddy, but Caleb had a blast!!

My Papa, To Leave That Kind Of Legacy

Nichole Nordamen's song Legacy has ALWAYS touched my heart and made me think about the life I live, and how my kids and generations to come will remember me, or even think of me.
But listening to it the other day I realized there is already a PRECIOUS Legacy, recently left behind, by a special man who is now Dancing for Jesus.
My Papa! A Grandfather, Husband, Father and Ordained Minister of The Assemblies of God for 57 years! Wow!
He was also an Identical Twin! Which still fascinates me!

Movie Date With The Hubby!!

So another part of my Birthday Celebration was to go on a MOVIE DATE NIGHT with my hubby! ( I told you I was making it a Bday weekend!)

So on Saturday Daniel asked his parents to watch the kids and we headed out!!

And I even got to pick the movie!! :) Oh and you know it was a CHICK FLICK! :) Daniel was a great sport about it though!! :)

Here we are during one of the 200 previews!! :) Seriously sometimes I forget what movie we are watching after all the PREVIEWS! Does that ever happen to you?!?! :) ha!

And it was Cute! Probably not one the guys will LOVE but I liked it! :) So did Daniel! :)

Oh and I think if you are a Mom, especially a Working Mom, you will like it even more. Just because I think you can relate to her Juggling Act! :)

All of us Mom's struggle to "DO IT ALL" and that's what it's all about! :)

Well after the movie we stopped in the parking lot for like 5 -10 minutes, to watch the rotating clouds! Yes, there was a STORM brewing while we were in the theater! When we came out we saw lots of low hanging clouds. It was kind of eerie!!

But it's something Daniel LOVES to watch! My hubby the storm chaser!! :) Shhhh!! Don't tell him, but it was kind of cool! ha! :)

Then it was time to head home and back to the KIDDOS!! :) Such a perfect night! :)

My Family Birthday Dinner

My Family Birthday dinner was at McBrides Steak House, and we had LOTS of FUN!!!
I really did!! I was the Birthday girl after all!! ha! :)

I also got LOTS of PRESENTS this year!! It was AWESOME!!! :) I heart my FAMILY!!! I wanted to show off a few!! Here is an AWESOME AND CUTE scrapbook from my Mother in Law Sue and her Sisters. :)THANK YOU Sue, Aunt Honey & Aunt Debra!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scrapbook and will cherish it forever!! Thank you for thinking of me and spending so much time putting it together!! It's SOOOO SPECIAL!!! Love yall!!

Another special gift was from my sweet Caleb & Chloe!!! It's a NEWS ANCHOR BARBIE!!!!

Caleb knows I love Barbies and REALLY wanted to get it for me!! I told him about it ONE time at Toy's R Us and he remembered!!! HOW SWEET IS HE!!!! Thank you buddy!!!

Some of my other goodies from Daniel, included an i tunes card, Bible cover, and a hard drive for all of my PICTURES!! YAY!! :) My computer thanks you baby!! xoxo

YAY!! It's already on my counter just needs to be filled! It's an automatic CANDY dispenser !! LOVE!!!
I also got the perfume I REALLY wanted from my Dad & Mom!! They even surprised me with the LARGE gift set!!!! THANK YOU!! I also got some money from Grandad & Grandma, and Tom & Sue and a pedicure from Aunt KiKi!! Thank you EVERYONE!!!

I even got everyone to sing the Birthday song to me TWICE!!! hahaha!! They were not singing together so I asked them to start over, AFTER they finished!! ha!! I LOVED IT!!!

Tea Room BIRTHDAY Party!

So my FIRST Birthday Celebration, was our annual TEA ROOM Birthday Lunch!
Strike a BIRTHDAY DIVA POSE!!! ha!
My Mom has been taking me to the tea room for my birthday since I was 16 years old!!! And we have been taking our "Tea Glass" picture ever since!! I have to get all those pics together! HOW FUN HUH!! :)We also had to pose with our yummy plates of food!! :)I even opened up a few gifts!! This one from Ms. Mary Lou!!And this one is from my Papa & Grannie!!!Then it was time for a few more Birthday pictures!! Oh ya know we LOVE to pose, so there are lots to see!! ha!!

The tea room ladies even brought me this RED FEATHER BOA to wear!! Loved that it matched my red skirt! ha!!
After lunch we ran to a few boutiques around town to browse! :) And at one of the stops, I saw this ZEBRA Birthday hat! And I just had to try it on!! :) So cute!! It was meant to be!!! :)
After picking up Caleb from school it was time to head home, rest a bit, and change before my FAMILY BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! My Pink & Brown BIRTHDAY Cake!!! I LOVE it!! :)Here I am before we headed out the door for dinner! McBrides Steak House here we come!! The dinner was so much fun, I can't wait to share all of the pictures!!

My 31st Birthday!!!!

I had such a GREAT 31st Birthday!!! Soooo much fun and I was spoiled by my family!! Love it!!! ha!! I even had 2 bday outfits!!ha!!!

Pre-BIRTHDAY Treats!!!

Ok so who doesn't LOVE their BIRTHDAY!!! It's a day all about you!! And well if you read my blog you know we celebrate week-long/weekend style! ha!!!! Just kidding! Kind of!!ha!

I really am thankful for a lot of Treats I got the day before though!! :)

Starting with this YUMMY CHOCOLATE CAKE from Aunt Cap!! Yes I am posing with it!! NO SHAME IN CAKE! :)

She gave it to Daniel and he brought it home from church on my lunch break! WOW!!! Right!! Chocolate should be my middle name!!

She also sent this sweet Bday card!! Love ya Aunt Cap!!!
Then at work today Ms. Sandie, our old receptionist at Ch 6 brought me up a chocolate chip bundt cake!! She is like the BEST cook! Oh my! She would always spoil us and even after she left she STILL brings treats!! SOOOOO Sweet!!!

She also got me a GIFT!!! She is too much, such a BIG heart!! I love it though! Some smell good lotion from Bath & Body Works!! And it didn't end there! Miss Whitney, also at work, baked up lots of goodies today! For me she made Red Velvet Cupcakes!

I just got into those this year! And man I have been missing out!! They are AWESOME!! She brought lots of them to feed the entire newsroom, and set aside a small thing for me, Daniel and the kids! Sweet huh!

I also had this Bday card from my "Birthday Buddy" Lindsey!

Our bday's are by each other!:)

Just wanted to remember all of my TREATS! :) It was a GREAT "PRE" Birthday!! :)

All About Caleb (& Aunt Tasha)

So Caleb has already had his first project at school! :) He had to make an "All About Me" Poster with his family.

Well as usual, we waited until the last minute. Story of my life! Ha! As you can see the poster turned out SUPER CUTE/COOL!! But some major thanks to Aunt Tasha for coming over to help!!! I had to work that night, and so I only had an hour lunch break to help start it. But when I got home, it was DONE!!
(Thanks to Granny too for the scrapbook supplies!)

I have to smile at some of these pictures though! I BLOG all of the time but that means my prints are DIGITAL!

I rarely print them out! So when it came time to "gather" photos of family and Caleb, I had none! ha!

The family picture of us, (Daniel, Caleb, Chloe, and me) was taken this year in the photo booth at Chuck E Cheese!!! ha ha! Oh well it was super recent, had all 4 us of in it, and was cute! Works for me! :)

And the one of me, Ninna and Caleb was from Kindergarten!!

Maybe it's time to invest in a new photo printer!! Ya think?!?! ha!

Oh memories!! :) Well, what counts is after a few hours, it all came together!! Thanks again to Aunt Tasha for your help! And to Uncle Stephen and Daddy for playing with Chloe while we pasted and colored!
Here's the poster, ready to go with the check list!! Yep, it was all turned in RIGHT ON TIME!! :)

Every week a students poster will be chosen to hang on the teachers door. That kid is the STAR for the week and gets to tell all about his/her poster. So I will be sure and snap some pics of it hanging when Caleb's turn comes! :)

One more sweet thing my sista did the other day was bring me and Daniel some SONIC DRINKS to work!! She works down the street and swung them by on her way home!! AWWWWW!! Thanks TASHA!!

First Soccer Game of The Season!! Go Caleb!!

Saturday was Caleb's First Soccer Game of the Season!!!
And with it came NEW uniforms!!
The team got them donated, so for the first time the Warriors uniforms are nearly 100% WHITE! (They have been Maroon) I think they look sharp, but I am NOT excited about washing them! ha!

Well it was a Birthday Week for my 8 year old Caleb!! :) After his party that weekend we of course had to celebrate on his actual BIRTHDAY! ha!

So on Caleb's "actual" Birthday we had lots of Celebrations & Surprises for him!
One of them was Cupcakes at School for his entire class!!! :)
Spongebob Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes with SPRINKLES!! :) The little yellow spongebob's were rings!! Fun huh!! First his entire class sang Happy Birthday!!
Then we passed out cupcakes and drinks!!

Sprite, Coke, and Cupcakes!! Yep we got them all sugared up!!! :) But they LOVED it!! :)

A BOUNCY 8TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Falls Fun House was the place of Caleb's Party this year and he had a BLAST!! It's a GIANT room FULL of GIANT bouncy slides and so on! There is so much to do!
We are blessed with dear friends and family who all showed up to Celebrate!
This was the first picture I got of Caleb on one of the slides, NO FEAR! Climbing the bouncy Rock Wall!! Miss Chloe had a Blast too!! Especially when we went down the big slide!!!

Once we got to the Party Location it was time to DECORATE! :)

Tea Room & Birthday Shopping!

So for our "Friday Sister/Mother Lunch" this week we headed to the TEA ROOM! We LOVE that place! The people who work there are awesome and the food soooo yummy!

Just a girly girl place that I feel right at home in!! ha!! We had a blast and laughed a lot! Mostly at ourselves! ha! Daniel always says a reality show should pick us up! ha!!

After that I had about a million errands to do!!

So before Caleb got out of school, Chloe and I did some last minute Birthday Shopping for Caleb!

We went to Party Town and saw these GIANT bottles in the baby section that Chloe wanted to hold!

I thought it was cute so I was taking her picture but this happened!! Oops!! She wanted to drink them!! So I had to quickly grab them away from her and distract her with something else! ha!

After that we picked up Caleb from school and headed to Toy's R Us for one last "glance" before his up-coming Birthday!

But Mommy spotted something first!!

A Family Affair With Aunt Cyndie & Cousin Ster!!

I ADORE Family!!! So when we got a somewhat surprise visit from Aunt Cyndie and Cousin Sterling we were sooooo excited to see them!! They live in Austin and wanted to come up and see the family before Sterling headed back to college! :)

We met them for lunch today at El Chico!! We LOVE Mexican food!!

We had such a FUN time at lunch and thankfully it didn't end there! That night Aunt Cyndie made everyone a delicious meal!! OH MY IT WAS HEAVENLY!!! SERIOUSLY!! It was called Pesto Chicken!! I wasn't sure at first about the green sauce, but man it was CRAZY good!!!!!! I could've eaten more just because it tasted so good!And my sister, Miss Bakerella, made a delicious and the cutest cake ever!! And as you can see, it went fast!!! Chloe loved it all too! She was trying to eat mine!! ha! I am truly BLESSED with such a wonderful family! I just wish we all lived in the same city! But I know that's not always possible, so I really cherish the times we are all together!!
My sweet and WONDERFUL hubby Daniel was there too, but he was taking most of the pics so I don't have one of him! :(

A Day In My Life As A News Anchor

So I mentioned a while back that I went to Graham, Texas to share a little bit about what I do every day as a news anchor for News Channel 6.

I took a bunch of pictures and talked to the group showing off some of what we do, and I thought what a neat thing to document! :) So here's a look at the pictures I showed off during my speech!!

My day starts at 2pm every day with a NEWS MEETING!!
We hear about all of the stories that we will be talking about that day and what the reporters are working on.
Here I am at my desk taking notes! :)

After the meeting I work on what's called Headlines, a tease that runs before the newscast.

From there I run to the makeup room to get ready to tape "Topicals" by 2:45!:)
Here we are in the studio taping the "topicals" They are just little 15-30 second teases that air during shows like Oprah, to tell you what is coming up at 5 & 6.
Here they are upstairs recording what I am saying! :)

Once a week I also tape a show called Inside Texoma with Ashley Fitzwater.
It's a 30 minute show that airs on Sunday mornings and it's an in depth look at people, events, or places in our area.
After that it's time to finish writing some other things I am responsible for in the 5. It's also when I read over all of my scripts before we go out on air at 5! Here we are getting ready for the show!

Here is the weather guy in front of the "green wall".
He relies on television monitors to know where to put and move his hands, as if they were on a map! I couldn't do it, but it's cool to watch!

After the 5 pm newscast, I tape a minute news cast for CW, and then rush back in the newsroom to read over my scripts for the 6!

Here we are about 5 minutes till the newscast getting ready!

This is a picture of another group I work closely with. The Creative Department.

They shoot and edit my Inside Texoma. But they also go out and shoot, write and put together local commercials that you see on TV.

After the 6pm we head back to the newsroom and work on the 9p newscast that airs on CW. I do the 5 solo and my co-anchor, Chris, does the 9 solo. Then we both anchor the 6 & 10.

After the 9 is ready I run home, chat with the hubby, eat dinner, and try to help get the kids ready for bed! Then it's time to head back put stories on the web and read over the 10pm news. That's just a little insight into my day, that can be 100% different, with BREAKING NEWS!!! Which is what we at times live for in the news world. :) I feel blessed to do what I love.

I thought it was fun sharing with the sweet people of Graham and wanted to share a little bit of my day ,with all of my Blogger friends too!! I hope you liked it!

Popcorn & Race Cars!!

So while the girls headed to a baby shower the other day...The boys went out and played!! RACE CARS!! Kyle Busch look out!!! After that they decided to make POPCORN, in a popcorn "Stir Crazy Maker", that I got Daniel for Christmas a few years back!

So they got the goodies together...

And let the stir crazy work it's magic!
Only it didn't stop popping!!!
Daniel said it just kept coming!!ha!!!

Then they realized they added to many kernels!! ha!!
OOPS!! ha!!
Oh well it turned out to be a BIG bowel of FLUFFY homemade popcorn! :)
